LaMar Herndon – Doing Life and Church Big!

When you dream about your Christian life and Church, how do you dream?  Do you dream big? We all desire to be someone special, to be successful and influential in this world; but what about our relationship to Jesus Christ, and our church in relationship to our community.

Log onto the following website, http://www.bluefishtv.com and watch the video entitled “Challenging the Ordinary.” It is free for the previewing and will not take but two minutes of your time. Please do it right now before reading the rest of this cover letter. Challenging the ordinary, and turning ordinary, Christian lives into a church full of extra-ordinary change agents in our community in a culturally relevant manner is the beginning of dreaming big.

When you dream big, do you see your church not only reaching your immediate community contextually; but also in time influencing a greater area such as your county, region, state, nation, even the world for Jesus Christ? I do, and I am looking to serve as a pastor/leader of a body of believers who dare to dream big, and watch what happens when our God has access to a body of believers who will not limit his power and might, but will set him free to work in and through our lives. Dreaming big, being visionary and missional, as well as culturally relevant in our community is what is needed today to help people cross the line of faith into a permanent relationship with Jesus as Savior.

We do not serve a small God, we just make him appear small by our attitudes and actions, and a world without Jesus suffers as a result. Let’s change this. Would you be that church that needs a pastor/leader to see those dreams fulfilled? They can be. When we take care of the spiritual, God takes care of the numerical, and we can reach our world for Jesus Christ. I’m ready! Are you and your church ready to make that commitment? If so, then we need to talk and pray for God’s will for our lives together. Feel free to contact me in any of the various ways listed on our resume.

Be the Church,
LaMar
