About Me
Hi! I’m LaMar Herndon, and I in the Doctor of Strategic Leadership Degree program at Regent University, Virginia Beach, Virginia. I have been married to my best friend June for 33 years. I/we enjoy or have enjoyed distance running, weight lifting, coaching children’s team sports, working in the yard (former owner of a landscape & design company), antique shopping, road trips and B&B’s, watching college and professional football, and favorite television shows with June. I have a great sense of humor, although my two sons tell me “I am not right” at times, and enjoy doing life with our two sons, their wives, and our grandchildren in Florida as much as our schedule permits.
It’s my desire to serve as senior or lead pastor of a Missional church with committed believers who desire to present the claims of Christ in a contextually relevant manner to their community. We desire to lead a church into becoming a worshipping community, a witnessing community, and a working community of believers. We desire to grow a body of believers into a dynamic church that in time influences their community, area, region and eventually the world for the cause of Christ. If you are looking for a pastor who is a life-long learner, a 21st century leader who understands what it will take to reach this post-Christian and postmodern generation for Christ; then we need to talk.
